About Our Ties

Our company founder envisioned improving the traditional bola design to increase both its beauty and range of use. We can now offer a new alternative to the standard necktie. At the heart of our design is a sterling silver neckpiece with accents created using stamp, overlay and inlay techniques. Gold or gemstones are often added to further enhance the look. The neckpiece serves as the focus of the tie. To the back of this neckpiece you can attach any one of our custom-designed silk fabric ties.

Adjusting the tie takes only seconds. Simply slide the neckpiece up the handmade leather bola cord and lock it into place. To adjust the length of the tie, simply pull it over the mounting bar to the desired position. (The bar may be depressed slightly to further secure the fabric.)

- All neckpieces are sterling silver and handmade by Native American silversmiths from the Four Corners region.

- Our leather bola cords are four-ply natural leather with a flat neck.

- Our custom fabric ties are all high-quality silk. We currently offer five colors: black, gray, charcoal gray, navy, and brown.* These are much shorter in length than a standard necktie and are designed specifically for the Cibola Tie. Use of a standard necktie is not recommended!

- We offer numerous design styles, including Navajo (stamped), Hopi (overlay), Zuni (inlay) and contemporary.

- We have the ability to create certain custom neckpieces for our customers. If you have a specific design in mind, please send us a photo or description with as much detail as possible. We will let you know if we can create the piece and give you a quote. (Custom pieces will generally be more expensive.)

* we recommend the use of a brown Cibola cord if you intend primarily to wear the brown fabric tie.
